i-mate Ultimate 9502

Australia's first commercially available HSUPA smart phone, the i-mate Ultimate 9502 offers a full, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, a 2.8i...

Excellent VGA display, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, HSUPA and HSDPA capable, Secure and Custom i-Q portals

Chunky and heavy build, slider doesn't feel stable when opened, slow start-up time, no navigational software included

The Ultimate 9502 is one of the first HSUPA-capable phones to hit the market in Australia. Although it's feature packed and the Custom and Secure i-Q portals are a nice touch, you'll need to consider whether its bulky form factor is right for you.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra review

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra - it is hands down the best phone you cannot buy so far. Celebrating Xiaomi's 10th anniversary, the Ultra pushes the limits of the...

Outstanding 120Hz AMOLED screen, very bright, HDR10+

No water protection, 3.5mm jack or microSD slot

Is it the best phone? Of course, not. It is not best, neither perfect. But it is really close to being both, and that alone is worth seeing and experiencing. We see why people want to get it.

i-mate Ultimate 9502

The i-mate Ultimate 9502 is one of the best smartphones we have come across -- and if you're happy with Telstra -- the i-mate 9502 makes an excellent alternative to a Blackberry or iPhone.

A myriad of features ; 2.8-inch VGA Touch screen ; HSPA data speeds ; Long battery life

Exclusive to Telstra ; Windows Mobile 6 can be slow ; HSPA speeds less than Telstra promised

However be aware that Telstra's advertised data rates can be taken with a grain of salt, and set up a strong password when using Secure i-Q.

i-mate Ultimate 9502 review

i-mate is a relative unknown but plans to hit the market hard this year with a number of devices. We see if the Ultimate 9502 can actually live up to its name.

i-mate may be a relatively unknown smartphone manufacturer, but the Ultimate 9502 has potential, despite its macho size. If this is where the Dubai-based company is headed, we’re excited to see what i-mate will bring in the future.

I-mate - Ultimate 9502

If you are a fan of the Sidekick format of devices, as sold by T-Mobile in the UK, but want something a bit less teenage and a bit more along the lines of a sophisticated smartphone, ...

The Ultimate 9502 is packed with capabilities, but its unusually large and heavy format might reduce its appeal. If i-mate could cram the features into a smaller package it might have a more winning device on its hands.

First Look: i-mate Ultimate 9502, better Foxtel than the 8502

The Ultimate 9502 is a heavy, chunkier unit that boasts some useful improvements over its predecessor, including classier Foxtel Mobile viewing thanks to better resolution.

The buttons on the 9502 feel a little more functional than the 8502, including a handy explorer button (for instant browsing) and a multi-directional scroll pad, which is good for navigating web pages
